In fact, Sony says that this is the world’s first monolithic structure with a completely sealed one-piece molding. Any self-respecting photographer would never be caught dead without a camera strap to secure and lug around their weapon of choice with. But it’s not just any run-of-the-mill strap, mind you – it must be versatile and tough enough to keep up with their on-the-go lifestyle.
I am Derek Boswell, a 23 year-old social documentary photographer from Southwestern Ontario, Canada. Presently, my work consists of seeking out and recording those most banal and unappreciated inanimate objects which surround us in our everyday lives. In spite of their ubiquity, they are nevertheless critical to shaping the world we live in. As such, I believe they deserve recognition. By treating their photography as a form of portraiture, I aim to elevate their status from unary, functional objects to those whose aesthetic qualities are worth considering as well. Essentially, it’s an experiment in transforming the roadways, telephone poles, fake plastic grass, and half-built houses into objects of pleasure, rather than mere utility.

It’s common knowledge that at night you should have a tripod and cable release at a minimum, but there’s one tool that’s considered a secret weapon among successful night photographers and that’s an intensifier filter. An intensifier filter (AKA red intensifier, light pollution killer and the technical name “didymium”) is a tool every photographer needs to have in their kit. Basically, the intensifier works by targeting the light emitted by common street laps and dramatically reduces the muddy yellow glow as the light passes through the filter. What you end up with is a clean RAW file with rich color, and increased contrast and sharpness.
Late last week Nikon announced their long awaited new Mirrorless camera bodies, the Z6 and the Z7. The new Nikon Z6 and Z7 both look great, and they sound like they will pack a punch, however the native Z mount lens options for early adopters will be slim. Fortunately Nikon announced the F to Z mount adapter which will enable you to adapt their current lens collection. There is no doubt that Nikon currently have some great, small primes that will pair with the smaller footprints of the Z6 and the Z7 really well, so here is a look at the best small Nikon prime lenses to adapt for the Z6 and Z7.
Zeiss recently released a teaser image on their official Chinese Weixin page, and while details are scarce at the moment, we have a feeling that they are hinting at a yet to be announced Zeiss Full Frame Camera.
