You will hear it time and time again, film photography will slow down your technique and help you take less images while capturing more keepers at the same time. I personally started film photographer almost two years ago and every since then I have taken slowed down my process and now the time to perfect the shot the first time. It will teach you to be hypercritical about framing and composing, especially when shooting medium or large format film where a single image will cost you $2-10 dollars.
