Tamron has announced the pricing and availability of their latest long-range telephoto zoom lens, a 100-400mm F4.5-6.3 that does include up to 4 stops of vibration compensation. It is being touted as a lightweight, compact lens that is perfect for sports and wildlife photographers.
The development of this lens was originally announced back in September, but today at the start of Photo Plus Expo 2017 Tamron has announced the availability and pricing for this new telephoto zoom. But just to rehash the specifics, this lens is the lightest in its class at just 39.3oz making this an ideal lens for someone needing to shoot at a distance without a ton of weight.

Optically the camera the lens features 17 elements in 11 groups and EBAND coatings that Tamron says will cut down on reflections and ghosting. As well it is compatible with Tamronâs TAP-in console for at home firmware updates and corrections. Moisture resistant construction also checks off a box for outdoor and wildlife shooters who need a grab-n-go all in one lens.
The Tamron 100-400mm F4.5-6.3 will be available for both Canon and Nikon mounts on November 16th, 2017 for $799.
