ONA and Japan Camera Hunter announced last night at Photokina 2018 their collaboration for a limited edition ONA x Japan Camera Hunter Bowery camera bag, which is designed with the film street photographer in mind.
A few months ago, Skylum launched version 1.3.0 of their popular image processing software Luminar, along with the promise to follow it up with a digital asset management (DAM). If you’ve been curious about where that is going, the company has recently released a teaser video of the new Luminar and its image browsing support in action, followed by a blog post a few days later explaining the upcoming updates.
The Zenit M surely and absolutely is not a Leica; I’d instead say that if Voigtlander decided to team up with Leica and make a digital rangefinder camera that Zenit is giving you pretty much what you would get. For those of us who have held and caressed their Leicas with a bit too much affinity, you’ll know the difference on first feel and even a bit on look. But in all seriousness, I think that in a blind test that most people wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between this and a Leica M9. In fact, that’s what it feels most like.
The Rokinon 21mm f1.4 is a fast wide angle (30mm FF equivalent) lens capable of being used in a wide variety of purposes from travel, street, portraiture, even landscapes. But is this lens one worthy of investing in, or is it just worth it to save a little longer in order to purchase a native Fujifilm lens like the 23mm F2 or the 23mm F1.4? Let’s have a look…
By its name alone, it’s easy to assume that minimalist photography is an easy style to crack. But as it often goes, it’s the seemingly these simple and easy things that are difficult to perfect. I never thought that a tripod could be specifically designed for a certain camera series, but indeed the Gitzo Traveler Alpha Tripod is exactly that for Sony FE series cameras. The design has to do specifically with the plate–which accommodates Sony FE cameras as long as they have a native FE lens on them. It was also designed to work in part with an L bracket on the Sony camera. With the L bracket attached, the camera becomes easier and faster to switch from horizontal to vertical mode. This way, you don’t need to manipulate the ball head. While it’s well built, I’m not sure that it’s worth just under $1,000.

It hasn’t even been too long since the SQ6 was released, yet Fujifilm is back yet again with another Instax Square camera to trigger your instant camera gear acquisition syndrome – the Hybrid Instant Camera Instax Square SQ20, announced today at Photokina 2018.
Elsa Bleda is no stranger to walking the streets at nightfall to photograph neon-lit streets and alleys in different cities. If you will recall, we recently featured Chinatown, comprised of glowing photographs of Johannesburg’s Chinatown at midnight.
It’s been long rumored, but since it has just made an appearance at the Photokina 2018, we can all be sure that it’s real. Krasnogorsky Zavod (KMZ), the manufacturer of the Russian brand Zenit, and German camera and optics company Leica Camera AG have indeed joined forces to create the Zenit M, a Full Frame digital rangefinder camera.
