Laowa has been on quite a roll with getting new lenses out. And on paper, the Laowa 58mm f2.8 ultra macro APO lens is supposed to blow things out of the water. It focuses very closely, has an apochromatic lens element, and is lightweight. I mean, what’s not to like? Well, in real life use, we found ourselves not overwhelmed or underwhelmed; but instead, we were just whelmed.
