The latest news from DXO Mark rates the Olympus Pen-F as one of the best Micro Four Thirds sensors overall but extremely well when it comes to high ISO results. This seems to make a lot of sense as the sensor and the camera overall are designed to cater to the street photographer. When paired with a fast aperture lens, it’s bound to also help to keep the need to raise the ISOs down.
The winners of the 2016 Red Bull Illume Image Quest were announced with German photographer Lorenz Holder taking the top spot for the second time running. Holder was crowned Overall Winner in addtion to winning the Masterpiece by Yodobashi and Playground categories. His shot of athlete Senad Grosic riding his BMX across a bridge in Germany received the most votes from the panel of 53 judges. Lorenz’s image also took home the coveted Athlete’s Choice Award. So one of the big social media stories of the last couple months was the introduction of Stories to Instagram, a blatant ripoff of their competitor Snapchat. Instagram users have been doing learning what Stories are, how to do them, and the best way to use them. But we all have that one (or more) friends who just go crazy with them — and not in a good day. There is hope fellow ‘grammers, in Instagram’s latest update they added the ability to mute certain people’s stories.

Today, Polaroid announced the release of their all-new Brighsaber travel light wand for photographers and videographers. Featuring 98 high-powered LEDs with an output of 1500 lumens and color range from 3200k to 5500k, the Brightsaber will allow photographers to capture great shots whether on-the-go or in the studio.
