As photographers, we are constantly lugging around a ton of gear. Everything from tripods and light stands to lenses and SD cards. It can sometimes be an incredible pain to keep track of all your gear, making sure you have it with you, making sure you have the right equipment for a given shoot, etc.
Today Fujifilm announced both a firmware update for the X-T2 camera along with an all-new tethered shooting software plug-in for Adobe Lightroom. The upcoming release of Firmware ver. 1.10 will introduce a tethered shooting function to the camera allowing users to connect the X-T2 to a computer via USB cable and save images directly to their computer during capture. Users will also be able to control the camera directly from the computer via a variety of settings. The update will be free and available for download on November 8, 2016.

We’ve finally finished our Fujifilm X-T2 review. Overall, it’s a fantastic camera. It offers wonderful image quality and perhaps the best reliability of any Fujifilm camera we’ve tested. We’ve been told that it was designed to be a workhorse, and for the most part it really is.
Canon took a big step towards giving the world a serious mirrorless camera offering this year with the release of their EOS-M5, but that APS-C offering does not satisfy the needs of professionals wanting another option to Sony’s full frame A7 series cameras. It would seem though, at least according to recent reports, that Canon is aware of this and that development on their own full frame mirrorless offering is underway.
If you had any questions about if Fujifilm would continue their X-A line of low-cost bayer (not X-Trans) based cameras, you now have your answer… maybe. DigiCame.Info has discovered South Korean registration for the X-A10, which all but confirms the existence of the upcoming budget Fujifilm offering.

Amsterdam based photographer, Jeroen Nieuwhuis, of New Day Studio, has completed a compelling personal project entitled People of Cuba. The 16 image portrait series captures people Nieuwhuis and his colleagues met during their recent trip to Cuba. The residents were kind enough to give them a glimpse into their lives with subjects including farmers, cigar makers, boxers, and various other denizens met along the way.
Let’s face it, one of the hardest parts about photographing in a new and unfamiliar place is finding the good spots to shoot. It takes time, knowledge and skill to roam an area finding the best spots to shoot even when you live in an area, so finding enough time to do so while you are traveling or visiting a new place is difficult. Luckily a new app called Streetography aims to make this process easier by crowd sourcing image location data to highlight the best places to shoot.
