We’ve known it for a long time, but now it’s official: Fujifilm’s X-series cameras are gorgeous! Not only do consumers unanimously agree that the X-series’ mix of retro styling and modern tech has a certain appeal, now also the committe responsible for the iF product design awards has agreed that Fujifilm has done a great job with the series. Consequently, they awarded five Fujifilm cameras this year, four of which are X-series cameras. And the iF product design award 2014 goes to …

It’s not the first time that Fujifilm is being officialy praised for its excellent product design. In 2012, the company scored an iF product design award for the original X100, and in 2013 they received both iF and red dot awards for the X10, XF1, X-Pro 1 and X-E1. So out of all the X-series cameras that Fujifilm has launched so far, only the X-E2, X-A1 and the recently launched X-T1Â haven’t receive an award yet. Since however the X-E1 and X-E2 as well as the X-A1 and X-M1 are basically identical in design, it’s really only the X-T1 that hasn’t been lauded so far. But who knows what 2015 will bring …
