I’ve been a very big fan of WANDRD for a number of years now–with my only complaint being their divider system, I never thought that they’d come out with a product like the WANDRD VEER18L. When meeting with them briefly at Photokina 2018, I was told that a divider system that was inflatable will be coming; and that’s one of the most innovative things about the WANDRD VEER18L. But the rest of the bag and how it interacts with this new system I genuinely believe to be one of the biggest mistakes the company has made. As a company that I considered to be a more ethical option to Peak Design, I have to express my utter heartbreak and loss of faith in this product.

Kickstarter is a fantastic place for companies to showcase their products to prospective clients, and WANDRD have used the platform to successfully raise funding for their camera bags in the past. While some photographers will tell you that shooting a camera is often like shooting a gun and that it has to do with your breathing, they couldn’t be any further from telling you only a partial truth. There’s a whole lot more that goes into shooting an image and maintaining a lack of blur caused by camera shake. It depends on a number of factors that image and sensor stabilization alone aren’t really going to help you out on. The saying goes something like “It’s not about the camera, it’s about how you use it.” To that end, the technology inside the camera and lenses can help you, but they’re still not completely responsible for getting a camera-shake-free photo. So here are some tips to help you out.
When that big day arrives, the soon to be married couple need to be confident they’ve got a photographer that can perfectly document their intimate moment. Cassie Rosch is that photographer.
Her heart-warming and breathtaking photography has made her high in demand. From Guatemala to Italy; from mountains to lakesides, Cassie is extremely well traveled when it comes to photographing weddings. This comes as no surprise, as her through her work she goes far beyond the candid snapshot. Cassie has the ability to show empathy, love, connectivity and that emotional bond in her images.
When the Fujifilm XF10 was announced, I genuinely felt it to be a very sort of lazy announcement from Fujifilm. It uses their 24MP APS-C sensor, it isn’t X Trans, and it doesn’t have Acros or any of the newer film simulations. Instead, it was pretty much like the X-T1 in some ways but brought into a point and shoot camera and with a higher resolution sensor. For $499.95 though, I’m pretty shocked. This camera proved to me that it is not only incredibly capable, but that it’s also a camera that I’d be happy to bring with me everywhere.
Like in any good relationship, there must be trust for it to work. The camera bags we choose to use say a lot about us, and we trust in them to carry around our expensive cameras and lenses. Choosing a new camera bag is like searching for a new mate. We take into account looks, personality, dependability, and just how hard the new relationship will hit our wallets. There are some messenger bags out there that cost an absolute fortune, but the ones we’ve picked here are easy on the eyes, and they’re ready for long term commitment.
The internet is a wonderful thing. It has given us the ability to have all the information we could ever need at our fingertips, and it lets us share our work online, but it has also given us something else. Keyboard warriors. People who sit in front of their computers, or on their phones with the sole purpose of degrading, bad mouthing, and generally making the lives of others miserable for no reason. Unfortunately the photography world is home to more keyboard warriors than most communities on the web. Why are photography communities so toxic? After the break we’re going to take a closer look at this.
