In continuing my running through of various entries into The Phoblographer’s analog zine, I’ve found a lot of amazing photographers who have pretty awesome work, but not quite zine quality. One of those photographers is Matt MacCourt–who has loved shooting portraits with color film for a while now.
Today, Sony is announcing their brand new Sony a9 camera that has been rumored for a really, really long time now. We’re currently live at the announcement and so more details are coming in. Stay tuned!
Lacie is offering a brand new two bay RAID offering designed for the photographer that really needs a whole ton of connectivity in the form of the LaCie 2big Dock. This new RAID option uses Thunderbolt 3 and lets you connect SD cards, CF cards and other devices directly to it–effectively acting as a port between your computer and your media.
I am Ja Turla and I’ve been shooting since my sophomore year in my secondary education here in the Philippines. University came and I met my late Photojournalism professor, Amer Amor, who taught me to keep on shooting and be great at what I do despite the fact that I didn’t have my own gear that time. He was a great influence and still is even though he left the material world so early.
In addition to all the announcements that have come out tonight, Fujifilm is adding to those a Fujifilm GFX Lens Roadmap.
Today, Fujifilm is announcing brand new additions to the G format lineup of lenses. These lenses are designed for medium format cameras such as the GFX 50s. The new lenses are the 110mm f2 R LM WR and the 23mm f4 R LM WR. In addition to that, there’s new firmware coming. All the details that you need to know are after the jump.
Today is the day that a whole lot of us have been waiting for: we’ve finally got the Fujfiilm Instax Square SQ10 camera. And it’s coming with some super cool features! The rumors of it being both hybrid digital and instax film are indeed true. It’s got a ¼” CMOS image sensor with primary color filter that records very, very few pixels. Of course, it’s mostly targeted towards the mobile photography crowd vs the photographer that wants to sit there printing at a computer and hunkering down for a session in Capture One.
Fujifilm Instax Share SP-2 is currently on sale for a cool $40 off, bringing it down from its usual $200 price point to a $160 price tag. These little printers are great for those who want to have some fun instant prints available from your smartphone or Fujifilm X-Series camera without buying one of the dedicated Instax Mini cameras.
Hey everyone, We’ve still got two more street photography workshops coming up this month that you can still sign up for. Plus, you can check out our three online workshops and view them at any time you wish.
Photographer Jade Lyon submitted to be featured in our upcoming analog zine. Her work: absolutely fantastic portraiture and sort of surreal concepts all shot on film. She attributes her love of film partially to the fact that everyone is a photographer these days and yet she loves the older methods. But on top of this, Jade’s work and words are simply astounding.
