If speed is of the essence in your photography workflow, these Thunderbolt 3 accessories from Glyph may interest you.

We all wish certain things could happen a little faster. After all, time is money. Fortunately, there are companies like Glyph who are trying to push the boundaries when it comes to how fast you can transfer data between devices. Glyph Production Technologies have just announced two new ultra fast Thunderbolt 3 accessories that will speed things up for Mac and PC users. The Thunderbolt 3 Dock is designed to be a main hub for all of your Macbook connections, and the Atom Pro NVMe SSD is an external drive that’s built to withstand abuse. Find out more after the break.

Being able to transfer 40Gb/s a second enables even the largest of file transfers to happen in the blink of an eye, and this is what makes Thunderbolt 3 technologies so great. There have been so many times I (and i’m sure many others) wished RAW’s would transfer and import more quickly into Capture One or Lightroom. These new products from Glyph may be able to help with that.

The Thunderbolt 3 Dock is really designed to expand port options on your Macbook. Not only can it transfer data at ridiculous speeds (up to 1,500Mb/s), it’s also able to charge your Macbook too; all with just one cable attached to your laptop. This dock from Glyph also supports Displayport 1.2, it has a UHS II SD card slot, two USB 3.0 ports, a USB Type-C port, inputs for microphones and headphones, a Gigabit Ethernet connection, and it can support either one 5K monitor, or two 4K monitors as well.

The Atom Pro NVMe SSD has read speeds of up to 2,800Mb/s and write speeds of up to 2,450Mb/s. That makes this one fast SSD! This SSD will be able to handle and transfer RAW files, 4K, and 8K video, and VR applications with ease. The Atom Pro has also been given an 810F rating for vibration, shock, dust and sand, and is considered to be of military grade. The Atom pro can easily dissipate heat thanks to it’s aluminum shell.

The Dock will be available in Q1 2019, starting at $299.95, and the Atom Pro NVMe SSD will also be available in Q1 2019, MSRP starting at $249.95.  See the official press release below.
