5 Great 70-200mm F2.8 Lenses That Will Make Your Portrait Shoots Easier

Prime lenses are usually the go-to options when it comes to portrait photography. Primes off faster aperture speeds than zooms, and they can be sharper due to less complicated designs. However, they aren’t as versatile as a good zoom, and constantly switching out lenses to achieve different looks can become a chore. This is where 70-200mm f2.8 zoom lenses come into play in the portrait arena. 70-200mm zoom lenses cover four loved portrait focal lengths. 85mm, 90mm, 105mm, and 135mm. You can switch between these focal lengths in a matter of seconds. Of course, you can even zoom past them too on to 200mm, where these zoom lenses will offer an incredible amount of compression and glorious bokeh. At f2.8, you give up speed over primes, but you gain versatility and a simplified workflow. Check out five of our favorite 70-200mm f2.8 zoom lenses after the break....

Your Time’s Up Wacom: Xencelabs Pen Tablet With Quick Keys Review

We get by pretty well when it comes to editing our images on PCs and Macs. Still, there are times when I wish I had just a little more control over the edits that I make. Sometimes, the mouse just doesn’t want to cooperate, and making tiny brush strokes can be challenging. This is where editing tablets and pens come into play. We’ve all heard of Wacom before, but Xencelabs (which is pronounced Sencelabs), that’s a new name for most. They have come out with a new editing tablet that can be bundled with an OLED powered Quick Keys panel, and they’re going for the Jugular. Will their new tablet and aggressive pricing strategy take image editors away from Wacom, though? Find out in our full review....

These Sturdy Tripods Make Composing Landscapes A Breeze

When it comes to landscape photography, you need great compositions to be able to tell the story. You also need to capture as much detail as possible. This, my friends, is where tripods come into play. When it comes to tripods, we often short-change ourselves. For whatever reason, a lot of photographers don’t spend much money on stable, sturdy tripods. They would rather opt for a ‘big box special.’ This is not a good idea for several reasons. Cheap build quality, questionable parts, flimsy legs, I could go on. Why would you put your camera and lenses, which have a combined value of thousands of dollars, on a tripod that costs $60? So, If you’re in the market for sturdy tripods that will help elevate your landscape photography game, check out the five options after the break....
