The Panasonic S5 Can Come Bundled with this Fantastic Lens

For more stories like this, please subscribe to The Phoblographer.

The Panasonic S5 is seriously one of the best cameras you can get on the market right now. And it can come bundled with the Panasonic 16-35mm f4. This lens is small, weather resistant, fast to focus, and has great image quality. Quite honestly, it has to be one of the best zooms for the system right now. But the Panasonic S5 has a lot going for it. The body is smaller than the Panasonic GH5. It also has the highly coveted Live Composite mode, currently making it arguably the best camera for AstroPhotography. Plus it has the Cinelike color profiles that look like Kodak movie film. You can apply those to stills too. Additionally, there have been lots of autofocus revamps, it feels great in the hand, and best of all, it’s incredibly weather-sealed. So what’s not to like? Truthfully, not a whole lot. This bundle is awesome. Check it out!

This Sony a7c Bundle Is One of the Best I’ve Ever Seen in a While

“What?” is literally what I uttered when I saw this bundle deal together. The Sony a7c can come with the Sony 20mm f1.8 G lens. The bundle kit is pretty insane. We reviewed both the Sony a7c and the Sony 20mm f1.8 G lens. Both are highly rated. In fact, ergonomically speaking the Sony a7c is one of my favorite camera bodies in the lineup. It’s the perfect camera body to mount Leica m mount lenses. Now think about this; you’re getting a fast aperture, wide-angle lens and a super compact camera body. It’s going to be great for travel. But is also means you can bring other lenses with you like the 35mm f1.8 or the 55mm f1.8. The latter is one of Sony’s sharpest lenses, and both of those lenses are at great prices right now. Plus, they’re all very weather sealed.

Get the Excellent Panasonic S5 With a Lens for Under $2,000

The Panasonic S5 with the 24-60mm kit lens is available for a steal right now.

Okay, this is incredibly exciting. The Panasonic S5 is currently the only full frame camera with the Live Composite feature. So if you want to shoot astrophotography, this is by far the best camera to do it with. You can get it with a 24-60mm lens for under $2000 right now. For what it’s worth, we rated the Panasonic S5 very highly. It’s the fastest autofocusing Panasonic camera on the market right now. It’s also very small and lightweight. Indeed, it’s a camera that you want to bring with you everywhere. Check out our review. But also be sure to go snag this deal!

Review: Canon Rebel T7i

camera deals

If you’re a person who has been looking to just get into photography, there’s a strong chance you’ve considered the Canon Rebel T7i. The Canon Rebel lineup of cameras often sell well due to Canon’s name, their bundles, and aggressive marketing/pricing. They’ve always been considered very entry level and they really still are. But one thing that I’ve always been fascinated by is the fact that their image quality is pretty good when you’re looking at other cameras, comparatively speaking. The Canon Rebel T7i is surely better than your smartphone and has much more capabilities in some ways.

But at the same time, there are arguably better options available from the likes of Sony and Fujifilm.

Review: Lens Distortions (Photoshop Actions and Apple iOS App)

Lens Distortions arguably solves the problems I've been having with photography for a while now: a clinically engineered lack of character into lenses that results in a sterile image which therefore doesn't make me want to purchase a product. That's a mouthful for sure, but it's true. While many photographers these days would prefer a clinically clean look where they can then add in their own modifications to the image in post, I'm not like that. There's a generation of photographers that truthfully don't like sitting down at computers because we do everything on a tablet or a phone instead. And for those photographers on both sides of the line, Lens Distortions makes a lot of sense.

The Complete Guide To Cinemagraphs Tutorial

Cinemagraphs are one of the coolest marketing tools a photographer has at their disposal these days. This blend of stills and video seems like something out of Harry Potter, but in reality it is nothing more than some cleverly edited video. That is not to say they are easy to do without help, and that is what the Complete Guide To Cinemagraphs Tutorial is all about.

In this online learning course, Photographer Jason Teale takes you through the process of creating a cinemagraph. Everything from tips on gear you will need, to how to shoot your footage, all the way through how to edit and process the video into a cinemagraph in both Photoshop or Flixel Cinemagraph Pro (a software package specifically for cinemagraph creation). You could know absolutely nothing about cinemagraphs going into this video and come out of it knowing how to make them with no problem.

Adobe Exploring the Possibility of a CC Bundle for Photographers

A couple days ago, Adobe announced their new CC platform–which puts everything in the cloud and requires a monthly fee. Despite the fact that this is still more affordable overall and that work can still be saved to external hard drives, the creative world is very split with those not so happy about this being very much up in arms. Listening to their customers, Adobe stated in a blog post on their Photoshop blog that they’re considering what they can do as far as giving photographers a bundle to work with. By far the two most popular pieces of software are Photoshop and Lightroom 5. At the moment though, if you just want Photoshop, you can lock yourself into a $19.99 fee per month or choose to cancel at any time for $10 more. And if you’re running a studio or an independent photographer, it’s a fee that’s well worth budgeting for.

For photographers that don’t know where to start, we put together a quick guide for you. Photoshop Elements is an alternative for sure if you don’t need full Photoshop–but it is still best complimented by Lightroom.

If you’re a working professional, studio owner, or on a collaborative team, we’d love to hear your thoughts on the new Creative Cloud in the comments below.
