I was introduced to the Cecilia Gallery SD Card wallet during Photo Plus Expo of 2018. It was thrown in with the camera bag we reviewed and for me personally, it’s been a big upgrade over my old think Tank SD card wallet. The Cecilia Gallery SD Card wallet is probably not for everyone, but it should be as it’s made pretty much better in every single way. Not only can it attach to any loop on your camera bag, but it has a secure clasp to keep your cards safe, is made of leather, and keeps everything nice and compact.

Infrared photography is specialized genre of photography that doesn’t appeal to everyone, but there is no doubt that infrared images can be quite stunning. Since Kodak Aerochrome film is hard to come by these days, one photographer decided that he wanted to be able to bring this type of photography to the masses without having to have a camera conversion, and without having to spend over $80 on one roll of Kodak Aerochrome. The result is a simple screw on lens filter that mimics the old film perfectly. Find out more after the break.
While black and white is a popular look not only for street photography but also for any project that calls for a classic or dramatic imagery. From portraits to landscapes, documentary photography, and photo diaries, photographers turn to the simplicity and elegance of black and white for both professional and personal work. Case in point is the beautiful 365 Monochrome Project of Seattle photographer and artist Erik Witsoe, which we’re sure will inspire you if you’re in the mood for monochrome.
I admittedly took my time with testing the Interfit Honey Badger Unleashed because of just so much stuff that we’ve had to test since Photokina and with not being motivated when it came to portraiture. But in my experiences with it, the Interfit Honey Badger Unleashed has proven to me that if you’re in the market for an introductory TTL/Manual/HSS monolight when your flashes just aren’t cutting it, this is the only option that really exists. While Godox, Adorama Flashpoint and B&H Impact make usable products I think that the Interfit Honey Badger Unleashed does a whole lot for the dollar. With TTL capabilities and a pretty solid build quality, the Interfit Honey Badger Unleashed also boasts a pretty simple to use interface and reliability in a number of situations. And if all you really need is the power, then this is one of the best options on the market.
Munich-based Skander Khlif has been one of our go-to photographers when it comes to candid well-captured slices of life. Not random shots of people in the streets, but photos that have some story or show the beauty that surrounds him at a given moment. Scenes from his hometown are now among our staple features, but we also follow him around on his adventures in other cities and countries. For everyone’s street photography inspiration today, we put the spotlight on his monochrome snaps from an afternoon walk in Berlin.
A few years ago, Flashpoint released the original XPLOR 600 TTL rechargeable monolight, and it quickly became a firm favorite with many photographers thanks to its incredible power, great battery life, and its relatively low price. Recently, Flashpoint released the XPLOR 600 Pro TTL, which updated the older model and promised to offer better build quality, more features, and better overall performance. In addition, they also added the XPLOR 400 Pro TTL to their line-up as well. The XPLOR 400 Pro TTL is a smaller rechargeable monolight that promises big things from a smaller, less expensive package than the XPLOR 600. Let’s Find out if that’s the case.
The great thing about landscape photography is that it’s a genre that can be participated in year round. You can head back to the same locations four times a year and you can capture different shots each time thanks to the changing seasons, you can also adventure and find new places to shoot all the time as well. The possibilities are endless. Another great thing about landscape photography is that you don’t need to break the bank on lenses that will allow you to get amazing shots. These four manual focusing, wide angle lenses that we will be sharing with you are all ridiculously sharp, and because they’re manual focus, they’re half the price of some similar autofocusing lenses. Join us after the break to see which four we recommend.
