I’ve theorized this for a little while now. Today, Snapseed went free to download, has a new icon, has full Google + sharing integration, has new filters and new frames. You can read more about that on FStoppers. Snapseed was a product of Nik software’s, a company that has been a favorite of many photographers including many staffers here. But why would Google have bought a photo software company? Well, let’s try to put two and two together: the company has almost failed in terms of a social media standpoint and many social media gurus gawk at Google +. But take a look at the demographics, photographers are the ones that really dominate there. Heck, even Kelby Group created a show about the social network.
