I’ve stuck to three lenses for a very long time: The Canon 35mm f1.4 L, 50mm f1.4, and 85mm f1.8. And I’ve loved them. They were great wide open, great stopped down, and overall have never failed me. But it’s time that I upgrade. In my personal opinion, Canon has been dragging their feet a bit and I haven’t been absolutely truly stunned by any of the lenses that they’ve made in the past year.
