Camera bags are some of the most important accessories for photographers, and for very good reasons. It allows one to carry the weight of one’s precious gear with ease as they travel the world far and wide in search of stunning scenery. Lowpro is one of the brands that has strived to improve their camera bag portfolio, and today, they introduce a new Fastpack IV Collection, which one will probably adore. Have a look.
The Lowepro Fastpack IV Collection is the newest generation in their portfolio, and it is built for photographers, videographers, and content creators who want to split their time between assignments, travel and everyday carry bags. The collection is available from July 2026, and it offers some impressive things for everyone.
What’s New
Lowepro’s signature side-access camera compartment is a part of the new Fastpack IV Collection, allowing photographers to get their gear quickly without taking the whole bag off. On the inside, you get a dual-compartment layout which is designed to keep the camera gear separated from personal items.

The biggest difference is the redesign of the full back panel opening, which gives one a clear view of stored gear. It also makes packing easier than in the previous generation of camera bags. A flexible interior setup also allows the user to switch their bags from one camera backpack to a full-capacity daypack. This is aimed at those photographers who want to carry more for travel, commute or outdoor shoots, without having to rely on multiple bags. Some other things include lockable zips, dedicated organizer pockets, and cabin-friendly sizing on select models.
At the front panel, the material used includes 100% recycled nylon, along with protection against rain, abrasion, and everyday wear. The range overall uses up to 78% recycled fabric.
Nick Tsang, Lowepro’s Product Marketing Director, said the update is designed around versatility, allowing photographers to protect their gear, but also organized for daily assignments, and is designed for flexibility.
The Lineup
- Fastpack BP 150 AW IV: Compact, for lighter kits and short trips.
- Fastpack BP 250 AW IV: Mid-size, balancing camera gear with daily essentials.
- Fastpack BP 450 AW IV: Larger, for extended travel or more complete setups.
We’ve reviewed other Lowepro bags, which include the likes of Trekker LT BP 250 AW. Back then, we found the bags to be versatile, having lots of pockets for everything we need. As we had added:
I’ve tried out bags made from recycled materials that seemed to fray too easily, so I decided to take a nail file to the bag for about a minute. This created a microscopic fuzziness to the material. Still, no large threads stuck out. This material should hold up to normal wear and tear. What it lacks in luxury it makes up for a bit in weight or lack thereof.
Keeping this in mind, the new Lowepro Fastpack IV Collection holds lots of promise; though not a lot more than many other camera bags out there. It seems to be designed for photographers who need fast access, who carry mixed gear, and those who travel a lot on flights, given how cabin-friendly the bag is. These three sizes can further help those who carry both heavy and light gear, making them ideal for a variety of photographers.
