If you’re looking for a webcam, then take pride in the fact that we’ve reviewed some of the best.
The single most in-demand feature of 2020 is the need for a webcam. The COVID-19 era has made pretty much everything we do digital, and the camera manufacturers are responding. Thankfully, if you own one of those cameras, you’re getting extra capabilities out of them with their webcam features. Even better is the fact that you have a variety of lens focal lengths that make you look your best. Couple this with some nice LED lighting and you’re good to go. We’ve scoured our Reviews Index for some of the most in-demand and best webcams that are originally traditional cameras. Take a look!

Sigma
Sigma FP
Standout Features: The Sigma FP is a very small camera and is also the only selection on this list that works natively with any computer. This is because Sigma put the webcam capabilities into the camera itself. While it’s not perfect, it works. We used it for an episode of our Pro Camera Reviews show. Take a look below!
In our first impressions review we state:
“To my pleasant surprise, the Sigma Fp is pretty fast to autofocus. Itâs not going to win awards, but the autofocus is surely very usable.”

Fujifilm
Luckily for many of you, Fujifilm has a large list of cameras that work as a webcam too. And if you’re the proud owner of one of them, then you’re getting extra functionality for free. Windows users can download the special Fujifilm Webcam Support file onto their computer and get started. Even better, you should check out our Fujifilm X Series lens guide as we’ve reviewed pretty much every single one on the market. And if you’re an owner of the Fujifilm GFX series of cameras, look at our Fujifilm GF lens lineup guide.
Fujifilm GFX100

Standout Features: The 100MP Fujifilm GFX 100 has a 100MP medium format-sized sensor. That means that it’s larger than full frame. Even better, the sensor has image stabilization built-in. But, you’ll most likely put this mammoth camera on a tripod.
In our review we state:
Overall, the Fujifilm GFX100 is easy to use. If you have used any of the XT series of cameras, youâll feel right at home here.

Fujifilm GFX 50S

Standout Features: The Fujifilm GFX 50S was the first of the series to launch. You can usually get it for a solid discount. It’s also possibly the most adaptable option when it comes to accessories and the like. I’ve personally recorded video with this camera, and it looks wonderful in the Acros setting.
In our review we state:
What other photographers will greatly appreciate is the fact that the shutter and lens aperture dials can be assigned to relegate their according controls to other dials on the camera to make them more similar to a DSLR.

Fujifilm GFX 50R

Standout Features: The Fujifilm GFX 50R is more or less the 50S, but in a rangefinder-style body. It’s got an integrated EVF, is arguably more compact, and will be a fan favorite. Of the bunch, it’s by far my personal favorite.
In our review we state:
Youâre supposed to take it out and use it on locations. Itâs quiet, inconspicuous, portable, and thereâs a giant sensor at the heart of it.

Fujifilm X-H1

Standout Features: The Fujifilm X-H1 is one of the only Fujifilm cameras to have image stabilization built into the sensor. It also shoots 4K video. Paired with the right lens, it’s a great potential webcam.
In our review we state:
The Fujifilm X-H1 has fantastic single autofocus and continuous autofocus. In video, Iâm really, really impressed by the cameraâs ability to keep a subject in focus.

Fujifilm X Pro 2

Standout Features: The Fujifilm X Pro 2 can be found at a great price these days, and boasts features like Acros, Classic Chrome, and more.
In our review we state:
In the very low lighting of a pretty dark bar in Williamsburg, the camera never missed a shot of its own accord.

Fujifilm X Pro 3

Standout Features: The Fujifilm X Pro 3 isn’t really meant to shoot video. But despite that, it does a fantastic job. The standout feature is the hidden LCD screen that keeps you focused on shooting. But the camera boasts 4K video shooting capabilities and records beautiful footage.
In our review we state:
Though the Fujifilm X Pro 3 isnât necessarily meant for fashion shoots, the autofocusing algorithms straight out of the box spoke volumes to me.

Fujifilm XT2

Standout Features: The Fujifilm XT2 is a great, middle of the road camera. It sports great image quality, weather sealing, affordability, and ease of use. I used to own one until upgrading and, in some ways, I miss that camera. It was so incredibly reliable.
In our review we state:
There were many times throughout the review period where I was positively floored by the output of the X-T2. Standard CMOS has its own look, so do CCDs. But X Transâthere is nothing like it.

Fujifilm XT3

Standout Features: The Fujifilm XT3 was a big leap over the XT2 when it came to autofocus and image quality. This is when Fujifilm photos really started to return to looking a lot more like film.
In our review we state:
With 2.16M phase detection pixels covering the entire sensor, the Fujifilm X-T3 has a two stop advantage over its predecessor in terms of low light autofocus performance, and acquires focus much faster.

Fujifilm XT4

Standout Features: The Fujifilm XT4 is a smaller form factor camera with image stabilization on the sensor. This is one of the most asked for features from Fujifilm users.
In our first impressions review we state:
The Fujifilm X-T4 uses a newly designed, larger capacity battery. This is another welcome upgrade. Hereâs a look at the XT3âs NP-W126S battery next to the XT4âs newly designed NP-W235 Li-ion battery.

Canon
Who would have thought that Canon would have made most of their cameras webcam-capable? A few years ago, this company was behind the curve in so many respects. But they’ve caught up and, in some ways, surpassed many competitors. Backwards compatibility for lots of their DSLRs, mirrorless cameras and even their point and shoots is a fantastic offering for customers. The cool thing about Canon is that you can download EOS Webcam Utility onto your PC or your Mac.
Canon EOS 5D Mark IV

Standout Features: The Canon 5D Mk IV is the old mainstay of many a working photographer. And if you’ve got one, know that you get even more value out of your old DSLR.
In our review we state:
Where Canon has seriously improved though is with the implementation of the touchscreen. It makes navigating their menus a million times better though, to be honest, Iâve barely used it because the menu system here is just so solid to begin with.

Canon EOS 5DS

Standout Features: The Canon 5Ds is currently the highest resolution Canon camera on the market. And the image quality is positively wonderful for portraits and landscapes. Plus the high ISO output is still rather impressive.
In our review we state:
Indeed, one of the best things about this camera is how deep the colors can be if you tweak the channels individually. Landscape and portrait photographers will love this feature.

Canon EOS 6D Mark II

Standout Features: The Canon 6D Mk II does many of the things photographers need. And when it comes to being a webcam, it’s Canon’s lightest and smallest full frame DSLR.
In our review we state:
At lower ISOs, the image quality isnât what I expect it to be. Sony and Nikon do an infinitely better job at lower ISO settings. Where this camera shines is at higher ISO settings.

Canon EOS 7D Mark II

Standout Features: The Canon 7D Mk II is the company’s top of the line APS-C DSLR. Want something that can perform well when autofocusing and shooting fast moving action? Then try this.
In our review we state:
The Canon 7D Mk II has a surprisingly good autofocus systemâand weâd actually state that itâs better than Nikonâs. When it comes to tracking moving subjects, youâll have no real issues at all when using the center focusing point.

Canon EOS M6 Mark II

Standout Features: The Canon EOS M6 II’s biggest standout features are how small it is and how gorgeous the images are. Skin tones have this beautiful warmth to them that I can’t find anywhere else. I thoroughly enjoyed using this camera.
In our review we state:
There was a time not long ago where I thought Canonâs autofocus wasn’t all that great. With the Canon EOS M6 Mk II, I see that theyâve done a lot to improve not only the speed but also the accuracy.

Canon EOS M50

Standout Features: One of the best things about the Canon EOS M50 is the screen. It will tilt to make it easier for you to compose a scene when shooting video: that’s a very clutch feature.
In our review we state:
The Canon M50 has fantastic ease of use due to clearly labelled buttons and a fantastic menu system. Canonâs menu system, combined with its touch capabilities, make it a great camera to use if youâre into the more automatic settings.
Canon EOS R

Standout Features: The Canon EOS R is my personal favorite Canon camera. The EOS R is a fantastic combination of a 5D series and 6D series body made mirrorless. Pair it with their fantastic lenses and use their jaw dropping autofocus and you’ll be amazed too. They’ve made big strides in the autofocus with subsequent firmware updates.
In our review we state:
With Sonyâs system, I feel like your needing to take extra steps every time sort of takes your mind out of shooting portraits. But with Canon, the eye AF is wired in.

Canon EOS RP

Standout Features: All you need to know about the Canon EOS RP is that it’s full frame and that it’s $1,299. That’s all.
In our review we state:
If youâre looking for super-fast autofocus, then youâll need to move to Sony or Fujifilm. At the nearest price point, both camera systems deliver a whole lot of autofocus performance.
