Pros
- Excellent sharpness when stopped down
- Fairly fast focusing
- The addition of the working manual focus ring and depth of field scale has us totally stokedâand you should be too
- Very little distortion until you get very close. It is more apparent towards the corners
Cons
- More color fringing than weâd likeâthough this can be easily eliminated with software
- For a mirrorless camera lens, it is a tad larger than weâd like
- We wish it could focus closer, even with the macro setting activated
- We wish the focusing and aperture rings were smoother

Pro Tip: Landscape photography is all about the details. To create genuinely stunning landscape images, you need to make sure your horizons are level, and that your gear is nice and secure. The only real way to do this is with a tripod. Quality tripods don’t cost an arm and leg. In fact, you can get this MeFoto tripod, which we absolutely love, for under $200. It will be a great addition to any landscape photographer’s setup.

Fujifilm 8-16mm F2.8 R LM WR

Pro Tip:Â Being in nature is always pleasant, but it means you’ll be exposing your gear to all kinds of dirt, dust, and debris. Like we said above, landscape photography is all about the details, so you need to make absolutely sure that your lenses are free of dust and dirt before you snap your pics. You can grab basic camera cleaning kits for little money these days. Make sure you’re prepared for whatever comes your way by having a basic camera and lens cleaning kit in your camera bag at all times.

Pro Tip: When you’re hiking and you see glorious landscapes all around you, it can be easy to take many pictures in a short amount of time. One thing you don’t want to do is leave yourself short in terms of storage space. RAW files from the Fujifilm X-T3 take up about 50Mb of space per image, so if you have a small card, it will fill up quickly. Keep extra SD cards in your camera bag, or in your pockets so that you don’t run out of space. SD cards are super cheap these days so it makes sense to stock up on them while you can. The last thing you want to do is miss out on that epic shot you have been planning for.

Here are the pros and cons from our full review:
Pros
- Solid image quality
- Nice bokeh, sharpness, and color rendition
- Weather sealed
- Fujifilmâs best general zoom lens yet
- Fujifilm gave this an actual aperture ring instead of what they did with their previous kit lens zooms and gave the user a switch
Cons
- Feels weird in the hand due to its size
- An internal zooming mechanism would have made this feel better in the hand
- AÂ steep price
Buy now ($1,199): Adorama
Fujifilm XF 55-200mm F3.5-4.8 R LM OIS
Here are the pros and cons from our full review:
Pros
- Excellent image quality
- Large rubberized zoom ring makes for smooth operation
- Gorgeous bokeh
- Affordable at $699 considering what this lens is
- Faster aperture than its equivalent zooms across companies which usually come in at f4.5-5.6
Cons
- It is massive for any X-series camera
- It wouldâve been great to see with this with a constant aperture, though that would jack up the price considerably
