This week has seen a number of firmware updates being announced, not all of which we were able to report on in a timely manner. So in order to keep you all in the loop, here’s a roundup of what’s been going on. Fuji has added new functionality to its X-series mirrorless cameras, the Nokia Lumia 1020 has gotten the ‘Black’ treatment with DNG raw file support, the Pentax K-3 was given some general improvements, and Sigma’s SD1 models have received some bugfixes. Full breakdown after the jump.
Fujifilm X-Series Firmware Updates
Fujifilm has released firmware updates for its three top-level mirrorless cameras, the X-E1, X-E2 and X-Pro 1. Respectively, the cameras are being updated to firmware versions 1.10 (X-E2), 2.10 (X-E1) and 3.10 (X-Pro 1). Common to all three new firmwares is the ability to customize the first four (sRGB) or three (Adobe RGB) letters of the filename the camera assigns to images. It’s only three letters in case of Adobe RGB color space, as these files usually get a ‘_’ prefix. Below is a breakdown of what else has changed.
