Earlier last year, I tried the Sony A55
pellicle mirror camera—and I liked it! Everyone in the industry touted it as cutting edge and breakthrough technology. On a different note, there were also lots of consumers saying that they were going to wait and see what Canon and Nikon were going to come out with (as they say with mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras.) Well, I’ve uncovered information hinting towards a Canon version a while back, but kept very quiet about it because I wanted to see the new technology that may be coming out: and I have seen good things. Here is how Canon will try to kill the Sony A55.

Photo Rumors via Lenstip got their hands on images of and the specs on the rumored Pentax K-5 specs. So how is it? Well, this camera seems like one of Pentax’s most aggressive pushes yet and will be targeted directly towards the D300s and 7D. The most prominent specs are after the jump.

Growing interest has spurred over the Pentax 645D Medium Format DSLR camera. I was browsing through a couple of photography forums when I stumbled on this sensor by Kodak, said to be the one that will be the heart of the 645D. The specifications on this sensor are after the jump.

Though not a new product at all, VisibleDust’s Arctic Butterfly is still something that photographers may want to keep in their bags as it can prove invaluable to cleaning their camera. Though some photographers may prefer their Zeeion Blower for safety reasons, the Butterfly has served me well over the past year that I’ve used it (I got it at least years Photo Plus) with only minor problems.
