When Tragedy Struck, Jared Phelps Tried Photography to Heal Better

“Photography helps me a little because I get to capture those moments and take myself back to them whenever I want,” says photographer Jared Phelps about how turning to photography has helped him cope with a tragedy. A Wonderful Camera With An Unfortunate Flaw. Fujifilm XS10 Review

We’re streaming daily on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Stitcher, Pocket Casts, and Spotify!

Fujifilm has gone from strength to strength over the last few years. Photographers who appreciate stunning design have flocked to the platform for the gorgeous retro-inspired cameras and the great images that X-Trans sensors can help produce. However, newer photographers are put off by the vintage-style controls. Enter the Fujifilm XS10. Fujifilm adopted a new design philosophy for the XS10 so that those who aren’t comfortable using so many manual controls can have a camera they can call their own. On paper, the Fujifilm XS10 sounds impressive. It has the same 26 Megapixel sensor found in the bigger X-T4, and it even has IBIS. How does it perform out in the wild, though? Old and New: These Are My 7 Favorite Camera Designs

In what is perhaps one of the worst-kept industry secrets in recent memory, we can finally confirm that the Fujifilm X-T4 is indeed real. While the XT4 sports the same 26 Megapixel X-Trans BSI CMOS 4 Sensor and X-Processor 4 Quad-Core Imaging Engine as its roughly year and a half old predecessor, there are plenty of upgrades that make it a worthwhile upgrade. Chief amongst these are the 5-Axis In-Body Image Stabilization, the inclusion of a fully articulating touchscreen, and a brand new, higher capacity battery. We got to spend some time with the Fujifilm X-T4 recently during a private media briefing. You can read all about our first impressions after the jump.

Fujifilm hit a home run with the X-T3, so its replacement will have some big shoes to fill.

The star of the show has been the X-T3. This APS-C camera captured the hearts of many thanks to its gorgeous design and fantastic image output.
