Crop sensor cameras make telephoto easy — and ultra-wide insanely hard. The Tamron 11-20mm f2.8 Di III-A RXD is the widest f2.8 lens with both zoom and autofocus for Sony’s crop sensor mirrorless cameras. Finding something close to Tamron’s new lens requires sacrificing zoom capabilities — or opting for a narrower aperture. Neither of which bodes well for versatility.
