Night photography is one of the most exciting genres of the medium. It allows one to capture moody portraits, street photographs, or even create still-life images with ease. While there are some exciting full frame cameras that are great at this, today, we will look at the only options that are perfect for those interested in Leica. Have a look.
Leica SL3s

Why is it great? The SL3s build on the SL2s in many ways. And one of them is the image quality. The camera’s look ensures you get distinct photos in the camera. Moreover, the colors stand out. However, where the device is most interesting is the ISO. Images at ISO 6400 are cleaner than the SL2s, which says a lot, since the SL2s won our Editor’s Choice Award. You also get clean images like the Nikon Zf, which is astounding. However, it is better to keep the ISO up until 12,500.
Who is it for? Designed for photojournalists who want a sturdy camera that can achieve the best results in any condition.
What makes it unique? The SL3s features the same sensor as the SL2s, but it now has Fast Phase Detection Autofocus with up to 779 Autofocus dots. It is also 768 grams light, has an 8GB buffer, and has content credentials. The updated Maestro IV processor also helps with getting the right colors.
In our review, we said:
Luckily, the SL3s allows users to apply Leica looks to their images in-camera after it has been connected to the Leica Fotos app. And trust me, Leica looks are stunning.

Leica SL2s

Why is it great? The Leica SL2s offers good dynamic range and colors. The high ISO quality is just as good, resulting in really clean images. The device has the cleanest output at ISO 6400, and even the prints do justice to the image quality. The RAW file versatility produces better results at high ISOs, and one can easily get details from highlights and shadows with ease.
Who is it for? Ideal for photojournalists, documentary photographers, or anyone shooting outdoors.
What makes it unique? A new 24MP CMOS BSI full-frame sensor, the camera offers the fastest autofocus on an interchangeable lens camera. The build quality is great, it is easy to use, and it can detect people really well. It is a camera you would want to take with you everywhere, thanks to the ergonomics and functionality. With firmware updates, the camera gets better.
By and large, the Leica SL2s is the most rugged camera on the market for a working journalist: there’s no question about that one. It’s incredibly reliable, and I know that I’d be able to use it in any weather or environmental situation. It feels good in the hand, you’re getting a solid menu system, the lenses are wonderful, and best of all, the high ISO images are super clean.
