Sony was the first brand to pivot to mirrorless cameras way before anyone did. The company has since made immense strides, allowing photographers a variety of options. Travel photographers who are keen on buying their first or a second camera, then here are some options that you can choose from.
Sony a7c II
For those looking for an entry-level camera that is compact, the Sony a7c II is the device to go after. It offers a 33MP sensor and a processor with AI functions to focusing speed. The design helps hybrid photographers and offers 7-stops of stabilization. The a7c II has a great ergonomic design, offers a sturdy design, and offers a fast autofocusing system. The latter is even helpful if you are photographing children that are running. As we added, “The autofocus system is versatile enough for photographers who dabble in a bit of everything to do okay with this body.” Even in low light, it does a great job. The budget offering produces beautiful images and minimal noise at high ISOs. The colors are accurate, and the skin tones are rendered well. With the RAW files, you get enough room to bring out the shadows and the results are better than cropped sensor cameras.
Sony A7CR
Another compact model, this one is designed for professional photographers who want more resolution. The a7cR features a 61MP sensor, 16-bit RAW output and 693 autofocus points. It is a weather sealed model, which means, with a good zoom, you get a camera you can take in any situation. The autofocus is fast, but in low light, it gets a better hit rate if the person you are photographing has lighter skin. As for the images, since it is a lot like a7R V, you get detailed photographs, with beautiful colors and a wide dynamic range. The RAW files are pretty versatile, and the high ISO images are clean, too. If you print your photos, you will get the best results you have ever seen.
Sony A7 IV
The a7 series has come a long way. The a7 IV is born after years of change, with this edition housing a 61MP back-illuminated sensor, and 567 AF points. The camera has 5-axis image stabilization, along with a 5.76M-dot viewfinder and 4K videos at 30 fps. The camera is known for its tracking abilities, which are pretty good for animals and birds alike. The metering system is great, the grip is comfortable, and the camera is weather-sealed. The photographs, naturally, are perfect for those who like a good degree of sharpness. It is a great hybrid camera that costs a lot but can do everything for those who shoot across genres.
