Prime lenses are some of the popular options for those wanting brighter apertures. While there are good first-party options, one must remember that they are often expensive for young photographers. If you are someone who is willing to purchase a new prime, then we have some incredible options from Viltrox. Have a look.
Viltrox AF 16mm f1.8

The 16mm prime lens is designed for full frame cameras, with a 0.27m close focusing distance, 550g weight, and 103mm length. The lens offers a nice focus and aperture ring, along with an LCD at the top. There is a metal mount, weather sealing, and is ergonomically designed. The focus is fast and accurate and it “works well with face and eye autofocus modes.” Distortion is well controlled, and the bokeh is fantastic as the “depth of field falloff looks so pleasant.” The colors are also realistic, and you get superb sharpness.
Viltrox 27mm f1.2 PRO

The 27mm is designed for Fujifilm cameras, offering a 55mm equivalent to a 35mm format. The lens has 11 aperture blades, and it measures 92mm. The Fujifilm lens is good for street photography, and the focus is “amazingly fast.” The lens is as fast as 23mm f1.4 R WR, which makes things better. The bokeh is dreamy, there is sharp contrast, and the colors are fantastic. “The best sharpness from this lens comes when a flash is used. But otherwise, it’s a sharp lens — so much so that we can’t really tell the difference from a Fujifilm offering that’s come out in the past few years,” we added. The weather resistance does a good job, and the design is pretty good.
Viltrox 35mm f1.2 FE Lab

The 35mm offering is ideal for many photographers. A weather sealed lens, the 35mm offers an LCD on the lens, a metal build, and includes 5 ED, 3 HR, and 2 UA lenses. After the update, the lens offers a fast autofocus, much like G Master lenses. “In my tests with the Sony a7V, the Viltrox 35mm f1.2 focused really quickly and most without any faults. This is truly impressive for many users who use the Live View setting effect,” we added in our review. Similarly, the colors from the lens are rich, the sharpness is great, and the bokeh is fantastic. “I’m so shocked that this lens exists and I’d gladly take it with me on a vacation as the only lens that I bring with me,” we revealed in our test.
Viltrox 50mm f1.4 AF PRO LAB

With 15 elements in 11 groups, the 50mm weighs 800gms, offers 11 aperture blades, and is designed using metal. The aperture has a click mechanism and the weather sealing is perfect. In addition, the lens’ performance depends on the cameras. With newer cameras, the lens performs well with scene detection modes. The 50mm will also result in quick focus in low light. The lens also does a fine job of image-making, with colors being nice, and the bokeh is sublime. With a lens of this nature, both Sony and Nikon cameras have fantastic results.
