The Nons SL42 takes Instax cameras to a whole new level, and it’s bargain-priced too.
We all know and love Instax cameras. The ability to be able to capture and print candid moments with our friends is quite honestly, priceless. Instax cameras are great, but have you ever wished for an affordable interchangeable lens Instax camera that could use some classic vintage lenses? If so, you need to check out this Kickstarter campaign for the NONS SL42, the world’s first M42 mount interchangeable lens camera that uses Instax film. Click past the break for all of the details.
The Kickstarter campaign for the NONS SL42 started a while back, but it still has 22 days remaining. To date, the campaign has raised just $11,040 on a goal of $25,750, so there still needs to be some serious backing before this potentially super cool camera can go into production.
The NONS SL42 can be used with hundreds of classic M42 lenses, and it just takes regular Instax film. M42 lenses were, of course, designed to be used with 35mm film, so when you use the NONS SL42 with Instax film, it creates an incredibly unique image with a round frame, which can vary in size depending on which lens you have attached to the camera.
The camera itself features manual focus abilities, adjustable aperture, shutter speed control, multiple exposures, a cable release connector, and hot shoe so that you can use an external flash. Here are some more detailed specs:
