This new Kickstarter project from DIYA could potentially make it much easier for professional photographers to be found quickly.
Have you ever wished you could be found easily in the sea of photographers that reside in your neck of the woods. Have you ever wanted to be able to find a photographer who’s available for hire in an area you have traveled to? If the answer is yes to either of those questions then you might be interested in a new Kickstarter project from DIYA. DIYA | Photographers Worldwide, on Demand aims to solve this problem with a simple, easy to use web-based system. Join us after the break for more details.
Lek Bitic, the founder of DIYA, noticed that while on his travels he would miss out on quite a few opportunities to be featured in images that would have created lasting memories because he was always the one taking pictures. This is something that we have all experienced at some point. We don’t always get to immerse ourselves in the moment because we are too busy behind the camera instead of being in front of it, and so Bitic came up with the idea for DIYA.
DIYA will be a huge database for photographers located around the world who can list their services on the platform. Those who travel can quickly, and easily find a professional photographer who can then come and work for them. Being able to hire a photographer anywhere you go will mean you can get out from behind the camera and can be in those fun vacation photos.
The service is being aimed at travel bloggers, businesses, and of course photographers. Once the work has been completed the client can then rate and review the photographer on the platform. This will give photographers a way to build an online reputation for themselves which could then turn into more work later on down the road. Clients will be able to get their images quickly because each photographer will have cloud storage where they can upload the customers’ photos. The images can then be downloaded and shared instantly.
The Kickstarter project runs until Friday, June 21st. Right now there is just a single pledge for this potential new service. Lek Bitic hopes to raise $168,097. For $112 early backers will be able to get a voucher for a booking, and for $1,000 backers will get a lifetime subscription to the DIYA portal.
