The SLR670-X MING Edition is MiNTâs flagship camera that comes with a chockfull of features.Â
Hong Kong-based Polaroid refurbisher MiNT has just launched its newest camera, the SLR670-X MING Edition. Itâs inspired by Polaroid photographer Ming Chan who, as MiNT describes, is âa symbol of attitude, grit, passion, perseverance, [and] dedication.â
But first, hereâs a bit of background about the photographer the camera is named after. Ming first dabbled in Polaroid photography 10 years ago with a black SX-70 Alpha 1 Model 2. He had a rocky start as he had no idea then on how to tinker with a camera, but he loved what he did anyway.
After trying and failing numerous times, wasting film pack after film pack, he finally made it. He not only has become pretty well-known in his circle, he is now an official Polaroid photographer as well.
Like Mingâs first camera, the SLR670X comes in a sleek, black body with shiny metal covers. According to MiNT:
âThe SLR670-X MING EDITION is our flagship camera â a masterful new take on a classic design which offers the best of both our prior SLR670 entries. Offering both high and low ISO sensitivity as well as Auto and Manual modes, all in one instant film camera.â
With the SLR670-X, itâs also now possible to connect to an external flash through a 2.5mm audio jack in the 670-X Time Machine. The Time Machine, which was previously introduced for use with the SLR670m and SLR670-S, allows users to manually set shutter speeds and to shoot in either of these modes; A100 for SX-70 type film or A600 for 600 type film.
