Get inspired with the impressive winning photos being showcased in this year’s URBAN International Photo Awards.
International photography contest URBAN International Photo Awards has recently announced the winning pictures, projects, and portfolios for this year’s competition. Now on its 9th edition, the contest is being promoted by Trieste-based cultural organization dotART, and gathers thousands of participating photos and photographers from across the globe. If you’re looking for some of today’s inspiring and outstanding photography, you might want to check out the entries that made the cut.
For this year’s competition, URBAN received 4,460 photos and 272 portfolios from 1,103 participants from all over the world. Out of these, 36 photos were chosen as winners for the Single Pictures category, while six entries were handpicked for the Projects and Portfolios category.
The final ranking of this year’s winning Single Pictures entries will be announced next month, during the awarding ceremony to be held on October 27, 2018 during the Trieste Photo Days. The gallery listing the chosen Single Pictures in alphabetical order can be viewed here.

The winning Projects and Portfolios have been ranked as follows:
1st â Alain Schroeder (Belgium) â âBrick Prisonâ
2nd â Giedo Van Der Zwan (Netherlands) â âPier To Pierâ
3rd â Sara Munari (Italy) â âBe The Bee Body Be Boom, Est East (Bidibibodibibu)â
Honorable Mention â Sevil Alkan (Turkey) â âStray Dogâ
Honorable Mention â Stefano Lista (Italy) â âOn Boardâ
Honorable Mention â Sandro Di Camillo (Italy) â âVia Ruptaâ
The winners will share prizes with a total value of âĴ7,000, as well as other prizes from the competition partners. Their work will also be published on international photography online magazines. A selection of the winning photos for both categories will also comprise the fourth edition of âUrban Unveils the City and its Secretsâ to be presented prior to the award ceremony.
