Hi everyone,
This is one of our last reminders: our Analog photography zine Kickstarter is now fully funded. Again, a big thank you to everyone who made this possible. It means a whole lot to us. However, if you still want one and were afraid to donate before, you’ve got no worries now. At this point, you’re essentially just buying a zine with the option of also getting a subscription to La Noir Image.
We’ve been getting a lot of analog photography submissions since we’ve started the campaign and we’ve got a lot to go through. But we’re going to do our very best to ensure that only the best modern analog photographers out there are profiled within the zine’s 100 pages of beautifully printed work. We’re also going to work carefully with each photographer on their answers so that people learn the inner workings of the mind of a film photographer.
As I’ve stated before, I want to bring the photography world a super inspirational piece all about analog photographers. And each time that you see the pictures and read the words, I want you to feel something different yet positive. I want you to feel a spark–and I think that only a printed format can do that.
Let me liken it to this: I want each and everyone of you who purchases a zine to be part of the revolution. Remember that ember that you had deep down inside of you when you wanted to get into photography and all the magic behind it? I want a new ember to start if it hasn’t already. And I want that ember to grow into a sustainable fire and that fire to flourish. This zine will feed that fire (except, you know, don’t throw it into a literal fire. That would be blasphemy.)
But let that fire be your excitement.
