Phase One is today updating the most popular alternative to Adobe Lightroom: Capture One Pro 9.3. The biggest update is in regards to precision color management–which is ALWAYS a huge issue for photographers. The system is based on the collaboration between Phase One and EIZO. This enables users to create monitor profiles for EIZO ColorEdge CG Series monitors within Capture One Pro with a single click.
In all honestly, if you’re one of those people that complains about Adobe’s cloud system still, then Capture One Pro is the absolute best alternative. It’s approach to editing is quite a bit more sensical for the advanced and professional photographer. A list of the other upgrades are after the jump.
More professional workflow enhancements include:
- Support for the newly released Phase One IQ1 100MP digital back and new Blue Ring lenses (see todayâs related announcement);
- New camera support for 11 new cameras, including the new Canon 5D Mk IV., Fujifilm X-E2s, Fujifilm X-T2, Panasonic GX80/ Panasonic GX85 and the new Phase One Industrial iXU-RS camera range;
- More than 15 new lens profiles for Sony, Canon, Olympus and Nikon;
- General improvements of back-end processors to optimize overall user experience.
