Along with introducing the Sony A77 Mark II, it seems the Japanese electronics firm is also rounding out its collection of full-frame E-mount lenses. Photoscala caught wind of a new Zeiss FE 16-35mm f4 ZA OSS lens to come by mid-summer. Although Sony’s new 16-35mm f4 lens might not be as quick as the older 16-35mm f/2.8 for full-frame Alpha cameras, it should be a fair bit lighter. So far the lens appeared in a Sony roadmap so there aren’t images or pricing info for the wide-angle zoom quite yet.
Just below the upcoming 16-35mm f4 lens we can also see Sony has a FE PZ 28-135mm f4 G OSS lens planned as well. Along with giving Sony A7 and A7r shooters another lens with a wider focal length range, this will be the first FE-mount lens to have the much loved or hated power-zoom feature.
Further down the line it seems Sony also has a large Zeiss aperture prime lens and a Sony G macro, which will be announced at Photokina.
