According to what Mirrorless Rumors has been stating, apparently something truly revolutionary may be coming from Sony soon. These cameras are being called the Sony DSC-QX10 and DSC-QX100. And what they are is basically a lens with a sensor that wirelessly communicates with a phone or something else–giving it significantly better image quality by porting the images from the unit right to your phone.
And because you’re probably going to want some beautiful bokeh, one unit will have a 1 inch sensor like the RX100 Mk II and the other will have a typical small point and shoot sensor.
No other details have been given yet, but it seems like Sony has found a great solution to combat mobile photography: but embracing it.
