This Dynamic Subject Tracking System Will Keep Up With Your Kids Because You Can’t

You know what’s awesome about experiments like this one: the toys! This camera system was designed to work in a way that your DSLR can’t. By using a system of mirrors and lenses, the camera in the video below can keep a subject in the middle of the frame at all times. The result: you’re probably going to get super dizzy.

For what it’s worth though, Google glasses has already been shown to be capable of doing this and photographers can accomplish it manually by locking onto a subject and panning with them. That way, they also help to create a blurry background (not through bokeh) but by slowing down the shutter speed.

Either way, it’s super cool–but we’re not sure how it can be used practically.
