Remember that dude that ran into the photographer’s pit during the Olympics, grabbed a Nikon DSLR and took loads of photos? Oh right! He’s just six-time Olympic Gold Medal winner Usian Bolt! Well apparently, Samsung has snatched him up to become the new spokesperson for their NX cameras. Bolt will appear in global initiatives for the camera and the ‘NX Junior Photographer’ campaign. If you remember, the Nikon D4 that Bolt snagged went to auctioning and all the proceeds went to charity. Bolt is continuing this trend as Samsung and Usain Bolt partner up to have the “Usain Bolt Foundation” provide equipment and lessons to children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
The company is also announcing that their NX300 camera is now available for purchase at Adorama and B&H Photo. You might want to check out our first impressions before you purchase though.
