When you typically think about Hasselblad, you think about the company’s rich history and their incredible film cameras. And today, they’re taking a step forward with their new Hasselblad H6D camera.
The camera system contains two models that boast 100MP sensors (with the 50C having 50MP) and have shutter speeds from as slow as 60 minutes to as fast as 1/2000th. As far as sensitivity goes, it can shoot from ISO 64-12,800. However, I’m not so sure I’d want to shoot 100MP ISO 12,800 images.
The models are the H6D-50c which is the lower end while the 100c can shoot 4k video. has WiFi, Dual card slots, etc. I fine it incredible that a medium format camera (and many of them) have WiFi but the high end Canon and Nikon DSLRs don’t.
According to the BJP, The Hasselblad H6D-50c is priced at €22,900 (ex VAT). The H6D-100c is priced at €28,900 (ex VAT), with trade-in options for existing Hasselblad owners.
