Hey strobist photographers,
In case you’ve never noticed, we’ve got a series on the site called “Creating the Photograph.” We’re constantly looking for the work of good strobists, and we’d love to feature you. If not necessarily to be part of this series, then maybe for one of the many interviews that we do on the site to inspire other photographers.
Here’s how you apply.
FYI folks: Creating the Photograph is only about lighting and the deconstruction of an image from start to finish. We very highly stress the use of strobe or flash, though in extremely rare exceptions, we make the case for a long exposure; and those are invite only. So unless you’re showing us strobe/flash work, please don’t apply for Creating the Photograph. This is for the benefit of our readers.
So here’s how you get to us, send us a pitch:
– Shoot us an email at editors[at]thephoblographer[dot]com. In the subject like: put Creating the Photograph submission: (Your name here). This is really important.
– Tell us about yourself as a photographer. We want to know the who, what, when, where, how and why.
– Show us websites/social media pages of yours
– Tell us why the readers want to see your work, or why your project is really cool.
Show us 10 images; we’re bound to go deeper into your sites, but this really helps us and therefore also really helps our readers.
OF ANY of our calls for submissions, I’m seriously the most excited about this one. Looking forward to seeing your work.
