RadioPopper has just released a firmware update for their PX system, making it compatible not only to Canon’s flagship DSLR, the 1D X, but also to the Nissin Di866 Mark II speedlight in both the Canon and Nikon version. Only the Canon version of the Di866 II can be used with both transmitters and receivers, though, and can act as both master or remote device. The Nikon version of the Di866 II can only be used as a remote device with the RadioPopper PX system. The RadioPopper PX system is a wireless radio transmitter that picks up the infrared signals of the master flash and radios them to the remote flash(es). Key features include:
- ETTL/iTTL
- High Speed Sync up to 1/8000th
- Canon and Nikon Compatible
- 1,500′ Range
- NO Line of Sight
- NO Sunlight Interference
- NO Cables
- NO Programming or PC needed
The RadioPopper PX system is available at Adorama.
