Hasselblad makes some of the cameras in the world. The company has created models such as X1D and X1D II 50C, amongst other models, that can make things better. To help photographers, Hasselblad has made the perfect software, which now comes to Android. Here’s what to expect.
According to the company, Phocus Mobile V1.0.0 for Android is now available for cameras such as the X2D II 100C, X2D 100C and 907X & CFV 100C. This is one of the most requested additions, and it is designed to help photographers better.
Phocus Mobile is designed to offer Hasselblad Natural Color Solution (HNCS) on the mobile platform. This will help one to reveal beautiful colors, have smooth tones, and have better detail from viewing to final export. It also comes with AI-powered noise reduction, a comprehensive editing toolkit, and streamlined photo preview and management into a complete mobile workflow. This way, it helps one to review, edit, organize, and export images directly using their phones, and allows them to work whenever they want.

With Android cameras that offer HDR images, one can open the X2D II 100C’s that will help reveal HNCS HDR images. The latter is designed to showcase details, highlights and color gradations that can help one to get their images close to what you see in real life. The app also supports HDR highlight adjustment, which gives photographers more control over their photos. HDR images can be exported as Ultra HDR JPG, while RAW images can be exported as Ultra HDR JPG or HDR TIFF.
There is also the Hasselblad Natural Noise Reduction (HNNR), which is designed for high ISO settings. With AI-powered RAW noise reduction, photographers can get cleaner, more natural-looking images while preserving fine image detail. The software has been trained on hundreds of thousands of Hasselblad images, and “HNNR reduces noise in 100MP RAW images by approximately 15 to 20 seconds.” There are two processing modes: Purity Mode suppresses noise for clean results, and Detail Mode helps to preserve luminance noise to better retain micro textures and fine image detail. HNNR can be helpful when one does not have in-body image stabilization, and shooting in low light.
Overall, Phocus is a perfect editing tool, with streamlined photo preview and management. There are other tools as well, including exposure adjustment, curves, white balance,
Monochrome correction, lens correction, noise reduction, sharpening, cropping, rotation, and keystone correction. These editing settings can also be applied for high-volume editing workflows. The photos can be sent via Wi-Fi or through a USB-C connection. For Phocus Mobile to work, one needs 12GB of RAM and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or newer.
Of course, this comes after the support from Capture One was recently announced.
