Fujifilm has been one of the few companies that is keen on introducing cameras with power. The company has created models that offer good ergonomics, performance and a touch of film. If you are a young photographer interested in such an offering, these cameras will help.
Fujifilm GFX100RF
Fujifilm has been at the forefront of making exceptional models. The Fujifilm GFX100RF is one such offering that houses a medium format sensor in a compact body. Along with a 100MP sensor, it offers a rangefinder body, shoots at 65:24 aspect ratio, and a 35mm fixed lens. Since it is a medium format, don’t expect blazing fast autofocus. However, when you get the chance to move from your feet, the colors are quite vivid. You get good sharpness, it is lightweight, and the photographs can be printed with ease. The film simulation further adds to the character of the images. As we added in a review, “I know my creative vision. I know how to use a tool to make it work for my own creativity. And there’s very little about the performance and camera body itself that I don’t like.”
Fujifilm XT5
An APS-C camera, the Fujifilm X-T5, offers a 40MP X-Trans 5 BSI sensor, along with 160MP pixel shift technology. The model comes with animal eye AF, and it has pretty good tracking abilities for birds. However, you also have to rely on single point and AF-S modes, especially when you are photographing a dark dance floor. The X-T5 is better suited for portraits, and it is also a great blend of technical greatness and character. The images from the X-T5 offer good images, with nice details, and vivid colors. The RAW files make it easy to make things better. It is weather-sealed, which makes it easy to shoot outdoors. The photos at ISO 6400 don’t have grains, but they certainly lack some details. So, you know how to shoot if you are working in low light.
Fujifilm XH2s
Last but not least is the Fujifilm XH2s, a camera that offers a 26.1MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS 5 sensor, and can shoot 4K at 120fps. A hybrid camera, it offers a 5.76m-dot OLED electronic viewfinder, seven-stop image stabilization, and is weather sealed. What makes it different than the XH2 is the speed of the autofocus. It can track birds well, and the focusing is fast enough to track birds in flight. Even in low light, the camera locks on to the subjects with ease, making it perfect for travel photographers. The images are great for a 26MP sensor, and the colors are pretty fabulous. High ISO images are printable up to ISO 12,800, and with film simulations such as Astia, you get really nice skin tones.
