Hey folks,

This October 15th, we encourage you to come out and join us at the Great NYC Film Photography Gathering! This isn’t a film photography photo walk, or a workshop, but instead a film photography meetup. We’ve teamed up with Lomography NYC and Brooklyn Film Camera for this event and are tentatively planning to hold it in Brooklyn’s fantastic Prospect Park. Our hope is that there will be loads of fantastic colors from the park, the leaves, etc. Come, hang out with a bunch of other film photographers, talk about your gear, talk about the stuff you shoot, photograph one another, photograph things, go on your own mini-photo walk in the park, and overall just enjoy yourself and embrace the revived analog renaissance we’re currently experiencing.

On Sunday October 15th, join Brooklyn Film Camera, The Phoblographer, and Lomography for an afternoon picnic and gathering in Prospect Park and a celebration of film photography!
 
Bring your SLRs, your rangefinders, your point-and-shoots, and Polaroids. Your pinholes, your field cameras, your custom creations. Standard format, medium format, large format, or micro format. Motion picture or still. Celluloid or instant. If it shoots film and you love it, bring it along! We hope to make this a gathering to be remembered : )
 
And bring some food to share too! We will be providing water and a whole bunch of snacks, but the picnic depends on your contributions. If you’ve got the time, prepare a dish to share or grab something on the way. Mmmmm.
 
Note: We will be tentatively be meeting in the Long Meadow near the Grand Army Plaza entrance. This area is easily accessible via the 2, 3, 4, 5, B, Q, N, R, W trains.
