Sony has the best full frame mirrorless cameras that one can get their hands on. From landscape photographers to photojournalists, Sony caters to the needs and demands of every photographer. If you are someone who is looking to purchase a new camera for your needs, then this option can be of help.
Sony A7 IV

What makes it great? A 33MP full frame camera, the a7 IV offers 5-axis in-body image stabilization, 15-stop dynamic range, and 4K 60p recording. The camera looks identical to the a7R IV, has multiple buttons and dials for customization, and can withstand freezing temperatures. The weather sealing is pretty exceptional and makes things better if photojournalists want to work in challenging conditions. The OLED screen is bright, the menu is easy to navigate, and you get better Wi-Fi connectivity to send images while on the field.
Why is it unique? The Sony a7 IV has fantastic autofocus. This is a must if you are shooting fast-paced environments. The camera has both animal and human eye af and tracking. As mentioned in the quote, the eye AF can work in various scenarios, making documentary work easy. The image quality is crisp in bright light and in low light, you can push the camera to ISO 6400. The RAW files also allow one to push an underexposed image over four stops. Similarly, you can recover details by two stops when overexposed. The JPEGs are anyway high quality, making things much better.
Without glasses, the eye AF does well in a variety of scenarios, though it occasionally wants to focus on the whites of the eye rather than the iris. The a7 IV had an excellent hit rate with both a stationary subject and a walking subject, and it also did well focusing on the eyelashes when the eyes were closed. The eye AF on the Sony a7 IV was already good, but firmware updates keep increasing the accuracy and variety of situations where the eyes are recognized correctly.

Sony 24-70mm f2.8 G Master II

What makes it great? This version is lighter (695g) and smaller (overall 18%) than its predecessor. It offers 2 high-precision XA (extreme aspherical) elements, 2 ED (Extra-low dispersion) glass elements, and 2 Super ED glass elements, amongst others. The design is Sony’s patented design, with a matt black finish. It has strong weather resistance, and is fairly easy to use. There is an aperture ring, a zoom ring, and a focusing ring, of different sizes to make things work.
Why is it unique? The focus performance depends on the camera you are using it with. With Live View preview on, the 24-70mm can autofocus down to f5.6 in very low-lit situations quickly. As for the photos, they are clinically perfect. The bokeh is nice, and the colors are true-to-life. The lens is sharp, but when used with a flash, the images are sharper. If you are looking for a lens that can get the photo right away, this one is for you.
Photojournalists will have little reason to complain about this lens. They should get it. It removes any issues with lens flare, all aberrations and gives you a clinically perfect lens. While doing this, they cut down the size and weight.
