Fujifilm has some wonderful cameras and lenses for photographers of different genres. Street photography is a popular genre that many young photographers start their journey with or are drawn to. If you are someone who is keen on becoming one, then this is a great time to invest in gear that gets the job done.
Fujifilm X Pro 3

What makes it great? This is by far the best camera designed for professionals in the industry. The X Pro 3 houses a 26.1MP X Trans sensor, a hidden LCD, 3.69 millions dots OLED EVF, a Multiple Exposure mode and so on. The device has a retro touch and finish, which young photographers will adore. Plus, it is weather sealed, which makes one’s life pretty easy when shooting outdoors.
Why is it so unique? Fujifilm cameras are known for their slower autofocus in general. With X Pro 3, the best way to photograph streets is using wider lenses to zone focus. The latter can be done with the help of scale and focus peaking. As for the RAW files, you can recover plenty of details with ease. At high ISOs, you can always embrace the grain with the help of film simulations. The colors are nice, and you can bring enough prints as well. For those looking for a balance between form and quality.
We took the Fujifilm X Pro 3 in the rain on a number of occasions, which it withstood with ease. Photographers shouldn’t be afraid of going out and shooting in the rain. There wasn’t a single time when I lacked confidence in the Fujifilm X Pro 3’s ability to handle what we threw at it.

Fujifilm 23mm f1.4 R WR LM

What makes it great? A 23mm can work as a lens close to 35mm on an APS-C format, which is ideal for street photography. The 23mm f1.4 is the latest addition that offers a 0.6feet close focusing distance, a 3.1-inch length, and weighs just 0.8 lb. It has a 58mm filter thread, a nice aperture ring, and a big focusing ring. The weather resistance is fantastic, especially when paired with X Pro series cameras.
Why is it unique? The new lens offers a faster focusing mechanism and street photographers will certainly adore it. You can rely on Fujifilm’s own face detection, which, while slower than Sony, can do a decent job. It’s 9 aperture blades also result in some amazing bokeh, which is creamy and smooth. The photos are sharp, and the colors are pretty nice. The latter also depends on the kind of film simulation you are using.
The Fujifilm 23mm f1.4 R WR LM is a worthy successor to the original. Fujifilm improved the image quality by making it sharper. Some of us won’t want our photos too sharp, so I’d recommend using a haze filter or an intensifier to soften it up a bit.
