Street photographers have often relied on small, compact, and high resolution cameras that can get you the best results with ease. While there are many full frame cameras, Panasonic has one option that is by far the best. If you are someone who is keen on a small full frame model, this camera and lens set up will do the thing.
Panasonic S9

What makes it great? A 24MP full frame camera, the Panasonic S9 is ideal for those who want distinct photos. It is small, lacks weather resistance, but comes with a dedicated LUT button for different looks. There are also 6.5 stops of image stabilization, lightweight body, and 30fps burst rate. If you are looking for an option that is compact and cost-effective, look no further.
Why is it unique? The Panasonic S9 has a fast autofocus, with zone focusing being the best option for street photography. Since this is an L-mount camera, you can pair this with Leica lenses as well. In addition, the images are versatile. The high ISO output is amazing at ISO 12,800, and the colors are quite great. The latter becomes better with LUTs.
For $1,499 the Panasonic Lumix S9 is at a pretty great price point when you consider the stylish looks and the fact that it can more or less replace your Fujifilm cameras when using the Real Time LUT features.

Funleader X Brightin Star 28mm f2.8

What makes it great? Designed for Leica M mount, the 28mm is the first pancake lens for the system from the company. It has a close focusing distance of 0.7 m, a brass body, and weighs just 125g. The design is good, it has all the controls, but there is a lack of weather resistance. However, if you get around the depth of field scale, which has to be measured in meters.
Why is it unique? This is a manual focus lens, and works best with Panasonic S9 given how small it is. It is a fast lens, delivers nice bokeh, some muted tones, and a lot of character and flare. The lens is also sharp, but not so sharp that you will have to tone down the sharpness. The color saturation is nice, and when you pair it with Tifften Glimmerglass, you get a soft glow.
We think photographers will adore how small it is, the brass build quality that will patina over time, and the usability. Couple all this with the super low price point, and you’ve got a winner in so many different ways.
