Camera bags are important accessories for many photographers. They help you carry expensive gear, and they also keep it protected during challenging weather. With many brands launching different designs, Brevite, a Brooklyn-based lifestyle brand, has decided to launch a bag ideal for those who want a chic design: the Jumper Max. But what are they doing differently?
Brevite says the Jumper Max is the most “technically advanced” camera bag that they have launched to date. It is designed for professional photographers, and its refined design further enhances its performance. The Jumper Max can carry devices worth up to $15,000 throughout Manhattan and across the country without attracting too much attention.

“The best anti-theft feature is looking like you have nothing worth stealing.”
Brandon Kim, Co-Founder
Unlike other camera bags that look too professional and are easy to spot from a distance, the Jumper Max can be passed off as a regular bag that helps you carry a pack of clothes on your day-long trip. The device houses straps with clean lines, a minimal silhouette, and no external markings that signal what’s inside.
But other than that, it is built just like a camera bag on the market, with full-body clamshell access, padded compartmentalization, and weatherproofing for longevity. The backpacks are made from 960-denier fabric, feature 16% thicker shoulder straps, a sternum strap, and an optional hip belt for extended carry.

The camera bag comes with a redesigned back panel with integrated airflow channels keeps the bag comfortable under load. There are also coated zippers, a weatherproof front pocket, two tripod attachment points, a locking passport pocket, and a hidden security pocket, as well as for organisation. Users can carry a 16-inch laptop, and there are three expandable organizer pockets to keep everything neatly in place.
The Jumper Max will be available for $300, with Brevite charging a few more dollars for a packing cube set ($50), a rain cover ($34), and a hip belt ($40). Jumper Max will be exclusively available at the Kickstarter campaign, which will launch soon, and will also help you get the bag at $240 during the Early Bird discount. Brevite was founded in 2015, and since then, the founders, Elliot, Brandon, and Dylan, have continued to focus on creating camera bags that don’t look like camera bags. While the idea is great, Brevite was also associated with Unsplash a while back. For the initiated, Unsplash allows users to use images for commercial purposes, manipulate them, and do so without crediting the photographers that they company often tricks into giving images away to for free. Brevite was accused of supporting the brand despite knowing that its users, who are photographers, are likely to lose money.
Brevite still has an account on Unsplash, but the last post was dated 2017. Perhaps the company has since changed. Either way, the decision to buy what they offer should be made with all the facts in place.
