Lomography is one of the few companies that have helped bring film cameras back for good. The company offers many budget options, and since 2017, it has also introduced Simple Use Reloadable Film Cameras in various editions. From Color Negative to moody Metropolis to psychedelic Purple, there are many camera options to choose from. To add to this, Lomography has introduced a new option that costs less than a round of drinks. Have a look.
Titled Simple Use Reloadable Film Camera Classicolor, this is a pocket-sized 35mm film camera that can be reloaded as many times as you want. Priced at just $28, this is one of the most compelling entry-level cameras for those who want to shoot film.
What It Is

The Simple Use Reloadable comes pre-loaded with Lomography’s own LomoChrome Classicolor ISO 200 film. It also offers 27 exposures of color negative film that is processed via standard C-41. The latter is important since any photo lab or home development kit can help you develop the negative. Once you are done with one roll, you can add another and resume shooting.
Lomography states that the film in the reloadable camera produces true-to-life colors, with vivid reds, blues, and greens. In bright light, the colors are soft and luminous; on an overcast day, the palette offers earthy, moody shades. Skintones, too, are warm and flattering.

Features Worth Knowing
The device comes with a built-in flash, which works in various lighting conditions. What stands out the most is the color gel filters that can be slipped over the flash for different shades. This makes the device a fun, creative tool for capturing memories. Those going for an adventurous shoot will also get a compatible underwater case that lets you take images down to 10 meters.
The device is small, easy to use, and you simply make images by pointing and shooting. At just $28, the camera comes with the film and, in that regard, is cheaper than the single-use film cameras that cost between $15 or $20. The latter results in environmental waste, which the reloadable camera will not add to. It is also a device that can help you slow down, a change of pace that is a must, given the current challenges.
In fact, we reviewed one of these earlier models, and in our review, we said:
These are cameras that I strongly suggest every single photographer get their hands on simply because of the fact that it will remind us all to get back down to basics and just to make our images fun. You wouldn’t and shouldn’t care too much about the image quality even though it isn’t at all bad. Instead, just focus on enjoying the experience.
We only hope for good things with the new model. If you are interested in buying this, head to Lomography’s website.
