Nikon cameras and lenses have shown the prowess of mirrorless models in today’s world. While the pair works perfectly fine together, there are instances when one wants to keep an extra pair of third-party lenses for their need, and sometimes, choosing first-party lenses can cost a little. If you are a street photographer looking for good options at half the price, these Viltrox lenses are the best for you. Have a look.
Viltrox AF 16mm f1.8

The 16mm is a pretty great wide-angle lens that works well when you want to show the entire environment. With 15 elements in 12 groups, the 16mm offers 9 aperture blades. The lens offers exceptional sharpness at wide-open apertures, has an LCD at the top, and can focus quickly as well. The lens is weather sealed, and when paired with the Zf, the results were pretty amazing as always. As we said in our review, “The Viltrox AF 16mm f1.8 comes in between at a sweet spot, with a wide f1.8 aperture, boasting amazing sharpness even when wide open. You’d easily forget that this is a 3rd party lens when you use it for a while.”
Viltrox 28mm f4.5

The 28mm f4.5 is a very small lens, lightweight, and easy to use. The images are pretty great, as always, and the colors are vivid. There is a sense of softness, lens flare, and the blown-out highlights, which, when paired with warm tones, give you dreamy images. It is one of the lenses that you screwon and forget about it entirely. As we said in our review about its performance, “The Viltrox 28mm f4.5 focused really quickly and without any faults. It did so with the setting effect set to on and off both – which has always been a bane for many camera manufacturers.”
Viltrox 35mm f1.2

The 35mm is from the LAB series and offers excellent build quality, meeting the expectations of serious photographers. The body is made of Meyao, and the LCD panel is a smart addition. The autofocus is incredibly fast and quiet, making it ideal for hybrid shoots. “What makes the Viltrox 35mm f1.2 LAB Z mount lens stand out, though, is how close it comes to Nikon’s own 35mm f1.2 S while costing significantly less,” we explained in our review. Similarly, the image quality is sharp, and it offers great sharpness at the center. The colors are pretty nice and lean towards a natural appearance.
