When it comes to purchasing cameras, one must consider multiple factors. From the sensor to the kind of lenses and the form factor, all of which must fit your budget. If you are fairly new to photography and have a budget of around $ 1,500, then here are a few full-frame mirrorless cameras that can help you. Of course, you can always rely on third-party lenses to keep your kit compact, and if you need to shoot videos as well, some of these devices will surely be of help.
Sony a7 III

The Sony a7 III is one of the few models from the series that are great and fall within one’s budget. The full-frame mirrorless camera features a 24MP sensor, a 693-point AF system, a 2.36m-dot Tru-Finder OLED EVF, and a 10fps burst rate. The camera is quite sturdy, which means people using it for outdoor shoots will not face any challenges. The ergonomics are similar to those of the other A7 series cameras, so if you are upgrading, the camera will feel at home. The battery life is also “battery life equivalent to my old Canon 5D Mk II.” The focus is fantastic as usual, and one can focus with ease in dark areas without an assist lamp. There is also the Animal AF, which is just as wonderful. The image quality offers an exceptional dynamic range and color depth, making the device a complete package.
Panasonic S9

The Panasonic S9 is a full-frame mirrorless camera that features a rangefinder-style body. It offers a 24MP sensor, 6K30p 4:2:0 10-bit video recording feature, and includes 1:1, 2:1, 4:3, 16:9, and 65:24 aspect ratios. With real-time LUTs, one can also focus on real-time color grading. The camera’s focus is great, and when paired with the Leica 28mm f2 SL, we found the camera works best for street photographers. It’s a more capable Fujifilm X100VI. In fact, the image quality is excellent, with RAW files offering versatility, and you can shoot images at ISO 12,800 with ease. The camera is perfect if you want a small body but with big features.
Canon EOS R8

The Canon EOS R8 is a beginner-friendly camera designed for those who mostly post their pictures online. The device features a 24.2MP sensor, 4K60p 10-bit internal video, an ISO range of up to 204,800, and a burst rate of 40fps. The ergonomics are decent; there are fewer buttons on this, and it offers weather resistance. However, the shutter does not come down on the sensor, which makes it a bit challenging to change lenses in the field. The focus is decent, and one can shoot birds with it, albeit with auto function on. If you are looking for colorful images, then it does offer that, and JPEGs shine much better than the RAW files. This camera is better suited if you’re just starting out in photography and want your first camera to be a Canon.
Nikon Z6

One of the first full-frame mirrorless cameras from Nikon, the Z6 was better than the Z7. The device features a 24MP sensor, a 12fps burst rate, 273 phase-detect AF points, and 4K UHD video recording capabilities. The camera offers great ergonomics, and it appears like a mix of “Sony a7 series body and a Nikon D850 hand grip.” The weather sealing is pretty excellent, and it has “survived numerous heavy rain storms and near arctic temperatures in New York.” The autofocus performance is great, and similar to Nikon DSLR options out there. You can also pull details from underexposed files, and the high ISO output is pretty clean for a camera of this nature. In fact, it is hard to take a bad image with this one.
