In the past few years, Fujifilm has announced some great and average cameras and lenses. For instance, the X100VI was an example of the latter for us, but it continues to be loved by the TikTok generation. Similarly, the GFX100 II is another device that features some impressive upgrades added based on the needs of the users. Even in the lens department, we have seen a similar case. From the recently launched XF 16-50mm f2.8-4.8 to the much-appreciated GF 55mm f1.7 R WR. With a mixed bag of advancements and new releases, many are wondering what 2025 holds in store for Fujifilm loyalists. We have a few ideas that we are here to share with you.
What Has Fujifilm Released so Far
Before we get ahead, let us look at the cameras and lenses the company has released in the past few years. In 2022, we receive three cameras—X-T5, X-H2, and X-H2s—and four lenses—XF 30mm f2.8 Macro, XF 56mm f1.2 R WR, XF 150-600mm f5.6-8, and Fujinon XF 18-120mm f4.

In 2023, the number of cameras reduced, while the number of lenses stayed the same. That year, we only got the X-S20 and the GFX100 II, the former being a video camera. We also received two tilt-shift GF lenses. Coming to this year, the number of camera releases corresponds with those seen in 2021. In 2024, Fujifilm film launched a really diverse range: the X100VI. the X-T50, the GFX 100S II, and the newly released X-M5. The company also launched two similar focal ranges for the X series and the GFX series cameras: 500mm f5.6. They also did the same with the X series, launching an XF 16-50mm f2.8-4.8 and the XF 16-55mm f2.8 II.
The good and the bad are balanced here, especially considering that the last camera of 2024 is not exactly the best for photography. With this in mind, Fujifilm Rumors speculates that the company may follow four releases in both the cameras and lenses department next year.
What Does 2025 Have in Store?
The least number of cameras Fujifilm launched is two, while the most is four. We have already spoken about the two cameras Fujifilm teased during the X Summit. With this in mind, Fujifilm Rumors further speculates the cameras that could be launched in 2025:
- Fujifilm GFX fixed lens camera
- Fujifilm X-E5
- 1-inch sensor half-frame camera

Although there is no X Pro 4 on the list, we believe that it could be on the roadmap for next year. Our editor, Chris Gampat, was certain that the device would not launch this year, which makes things pretty challenging for X Pro fans. Why? There is a chance that the new edition will be a rangefinder variant of the XH2, or it may be like the X100VI with a few other features.
There is also the panorama camera, which is being speculated for a release. However, since it certainly features a rather complex sensor size to accommodate creating the panorama, we aren’t certain that it will launch next year. Perhaps 2026 or 2027 is a ballpark one can hope for.
While it is very challenging to determine the lenses, as Fujifilm has not hinted at anything yet, there are a few options that Fujifilm loyalists would certainly love to see. Of them, an XF 23mm f2 pancake is on the list. Considering how much they are gaining popularity, it makes sense for the company to release a few options. We only know what 2025 holds in store for us in 2025. But we do hope it begins with a bang.
